Centre of Expertise programme, Tourism and Experience Management

Centre of Expertise programme OSKE is a fixed term governmental programme (2007-2013). Tourism and Experience Management Competence Cluster links tourism with creative industries such as design, digital content production as well as entertainment and cultural production. Coupled with modern technology, experience management is a unique opportunity to create innovative business models for the benefit of tourism internationally.

European Capital of Culture

Turku will be the European Capital of Culture in 2011 together with Tallinn. The basis of the Turku 2011 strategy is formed by a broad definition of culture. The main goals of Turku 2011 are internationality, creative economy and well-being. In 2016 Turku will be a pioneer, creative centre of co-operation on the Baltic Sea, and a provider and forwarder of art and science.

The Regional Centre Programme

The Regional Centre Programme is a government special programme in accordance with the Regional Development Act. Its objective is the establishment of a network of regional centres covering every region/province for the development of the strengths, specialisation and cooperation of urban regions.
